This week’s horrific and infuriating violence in Atlanta put into stark relief our country’s long history of anti-Asian racism, which has been on heightened display in our city over the past year. 

New Yorkers for Parks strongly condemns these acts of hate. We stand in solidarity with the Asian community, and we’re thinking about our Asian colleagues and friends during this heartbreaking moment. 

As an organization, we are committed not only to New York’s parks and open spaces, but to ensuring safe and inclusive spaces for all New Yorkers.
