Watch the complete video from April 10, 2018, on the Open Space Dialogues: From New Perspectives to Action, an evening of provocative presentations and discussion created New Yorkers for Parks and WXY architecture + urban design. Following events focusing on open space value, design, development, policy, and financing, the panel was comprised by leading parks practitioners, decision-makers, activists, and stakeholders.
Lynn Kelly, Executive Director for New Yorkers for Parks gave welcoming remarks followed by Anthony Crowell, Dean and President of New York Law School. Dean Crowell announced that this will be the first in a series of events that New York Law School and New Yorkers for Parks will partner on.
The panel discussion and presentation was moderated by Adam Lubinsky, Principal of WXY, and included presenters Joe Mayock, Executive Director of Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn and Deborah Marton , Executive Director of New York Restoration Project, respondents Mychal Johnson, Co-founding Member of South Bronx Unite and Tawkiyah Jordan, Senior Planner at the New York City Department of City Planning.
The panel also included a special video presentation by Everette Hamlette, a Bronx-based documentarian and an update on the Southern Boulevard Research by Lucy Robson, Director of Research & Planning at New Yorkers for Parks.
